On 21st Jan 2020, the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) held the 14th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony. The University conferred honorary University Fellowships on eight distinguished personalities, including Chairman Hung, Mr Warren Mok Wah-yeun, Founder and Artistic Director of Opera Hong Kong, Dr. Herman Yau Lai-to, renowned film director, cinematographer and writer. It showed the recognition of their significant contributions to society and their staunch support of the University.

Chairman Hung strives to nurture a pillar of society and contribute to society. He supports charity and promotes academic cultural exchange. He is also a committee in different charity organizations and academic groups. For charity organizations, he is the Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation, the Chairman of Huizhou Ganghui Love Foundation, the Director of the 38th Board of Directors of Yan Oi Tong, the Honorary President of Huizhou Cihang Charitable Association. For academic groups, the Honorary Permanent President of the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation, the Vice President of Development Committee of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology and so on.

On the day of Ceremony, Chairman Hung invited Mr. Jiang Xueqin, the Director of Huizhou Newspaper Industry Advertising Information Company, for the academic exchange with the HKBU, like site visit in the School of Communication and Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole and academic sharing with Prof. C.K. Lau, Head of the Department of Journalism. Mr. Jiang Xueqin joined the forum in Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole. Dr. Simon Suen, the Founding President of HKBU Development Committee of Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology, Ms. Angeline Yiu Ching Fun, the daughter of Mr. Jao Tsung-I also joined the forum.
